melmo- preposterous thoughts
--
I like melmo, melmo knows I like melmo and for perhaps the only time in my life I can wholeheartedly say, ‘’be like me’’ and fall for melmo. For this may just be a simple thought of mine but what it is not is a preposterous one, this “coincidently” being the name of melmo’s latest beat. “preposterous thoughts’’ is wonderful, it flows with such effortless ease, the kind of ease that other beatmakers could only dream about but with the kinda flow that seems so natural here. The dreamy quality that this beat contains deep within its bowels is something so alluring, something so pure that it could easily drag me to shore and make me happily smash ma face off the rocks. If you manage to avoid this pitfall and you make it to land then do spend your time with the beautiful, high piano melody which manages to sound both happy and sad at the same time. That’s the secret to the power of this beat, while you listen you feel the draw of nostalgia, you may hazily drift to your past while the melancholy of this piece tries to make you put on another black t-shirt to match your black trousers and your black socks. But then the funniest thing happens just as the beat quietly comes to an end you realise you’ve been listening to something quite wonderful, your mood starts to turn and suddenly you find yourself streaking down the middle of the high street: ‘’WE”RE STREAKING!!” well maybe not quite, but close, pc. Check it oot here: preposterous thoughts
